SUNY Cobleskill Pre-Vet Club Logo

Digital Design.
More Details

An opportunity presented itself for me to create a logo for a New York State college animal science club. The design would be used across jackets, hats, sweatshirts, flyers, and other merchandise, so I knew I wanted to create something that could represent the club in many different ways. They frequently changed their logo and were looking for an upgrade from their previous hand-drawn design. I wanted to keep some of that personality while using digital graphics to give the club a more professional identity.

Because Cobleskill, New York, is heavily rooted in agriculture, I wanted the logo to represent more than just traditional household pets. I incorporated a horse and rooster alongside a cat and dog to reflect both the agricultural community and majority of their future patients. Since they didn't have an established visual identity beyond their black and orange colors, I had a lot of creative freedom. I was able to experiment with typography and composition.

This was such a fun project because I was able to take an existing idea and completely reimagine it while still representing the club and its environment. The most rewarding part was seeing the design in real life!. Seeing my logo printed on clothing, displayed on posters, and used at conferences and club meetings made the project feel real.
